What is BAC Water?

BAC Water stands for Bacteriostatic Water.
It is sterile water used for mixing certain substances or powders. Its key feature is that it contains an ingredient that helps inhibit bacterial growth, allowing it to be stored and reused for an appropriate period of time compared to regular sterile water.

Ingredients of BAC Water

In general, BAC Water contains 2 main components:

Sterile Water
Sterile distilled water

Benzyl Alcohol 0.9%
Helps inhibit the growth of bacteria

How is BAC Water different from Sterile Water?

Sterile Water
Sterile water does not contain preservatives. After opening, it is generally recommended to use it once and avoid storing it for later use.

BAC Water
BAC Water contains Benzyl Alcohol 0.9%, which helps inhibit bacterial growth. It can be stored and reused after opening, as long as it is stored properly and used within approximately 1–2 months after opening.

Benefits of BAC Water

Helps reduce the risk of contamination
Can be used multiple times from the same vial
Convenient, cost-effective, and reduces the need to open a new vial each time
Suitable for applications that require multiple uses

Important Notes

Not suitable for newborn babies or individuals who are allergic to Benzyl Alcohol
After opening, store in the refrigerator and keep the cap tightly closed
Avoid heat, direct sunlight, and contamination around the rubber stopper
Do not use if the water changes color, becomes cloudy, or contains foreign particles

Storage

Store in the regular refrigerator compartment at approximately 2–8°C.
Do not freeze. Use within an appropriate period after opening.
